It seemed to be a very popular fad with him as of late, the whole being out after dark. It used to be when he was a kid he refused to even step into the dark corners of the room. "But mommy... the bogey man lives in the dark." "Rei..." Alissa whispered gently, cupping her baby's cheek in her hand. "You know I'll always protect you from the bogey man." He held a hand to the protection amulet hanging around his neck. "always..." He whispered
Jesse glanced around and sighed a little. "Hmm...there's gotta be somethin' to do around here at night..." He said, shoving his hands in his pockets, then taking them out, hooking his thumbs in his belt loops.
(lets put them... on a playground ::nod nod:: those are fun xD)
Rei plopped himseld down on one of the swings pushing back a bit. It was always nice to just be out in the fresh air and swings just made it all better. He saw Jesse in the distance trying to see if he was someone he knew. "Hmm... must be new around here." He knew a lot f the people who lived in the town.
Jesse looked around again and grinned a little when he noticed someone on one of the swings. "Hey!" he waved and walked over to join him, sitting on the swing next to him. Jesse looked around again and grinned a little when he noticed someone on one of the swings. "Hey!" he waved and walked over to join him, sitting on the swing next to him.
"Hey there." He offered him a big smile as he continued to pump his legs a bit. He's kinda cute "I'm guessing you're new around here no?" He was 99.9% sure Jesse was new, either that or he was a retard.
"Yup," He nodded, pushing off and starting to swing. "Moved here with my family from England not long ago." He smiled.
"England huh?" Rei continued to swing higher and higher reaching up towards the sky as he reached the highest part of his swinging. "Why'd ya move to Ipswich of all places?"
"Eh, you know famalies. They decide to do something, and ya gotta go with 'em." He shrugged a little, "Dunno, really... Don't question mum and dad too much, honestly. Just sort of...go with whatever's happening."
Rei shook his head. "I know what ya mean, my parents kept moving us around until..." He slowed down his swinging. "Well until my mum died, after that we decided to just stay here."
"I'm sorry," He said, looking up at the other boy. "That's really sad. I dunno what I'd do if I lost someone in my family."
"You're gonna think I'm odd but sometimes." He jumped off the swing once it wasn't going too high. "But sometimes it's like she isn't even gone." Alissa left him a lot when she left, magical and non magical items. "I guess you could say I believe strongly in an afterlife."
Jesse chuckled softly, "Yeah? Well, you could say I do, too." If only this guy knew... More like....unlife, I guess, but whatever. Similar concepts, right? He thought to himself. "So, I hear hear there's some pretty creepy things that happen around here. Ever seen any of it yourself?"
Rei almost laughed "Creepy no... odd yes." Hell what you think is odd could be happening at my house at any moment. "Ipswich seems to be a magnet for the unusual." He smiled "You moved in to a witchy little town there buddy."
Rei leaned up against the wall of the theater, he was wearing nothing special just a pair of jeans (for once) and a blue button up t-shirt that stayed open over a wife beater. He was kinda annoyed that the only movie playing this late was Happy Feet. Seriously who the fuck would be going to see a kids movie at 11 at night? He gave an annoyed sigh and waited for Jesse.
Jesse was glad that this Rei guy seemed to like night. He'd be a bit out of luck if he liked the daytime and all that. Bit out of luck? He let out a soft chuckle. Try dead. He thought with a grin as he walked up to the front of the theatre, glancing around for the boy he'd met a few nights ago.
