"Eh, you know famalies. They decide to do something, and ya gotta go with 'em." He shrugged a little, "Dunno, really... Don't question mum and dad too much, honestly. Just sort of...go with whatever's happening."
Rei shook his head. "I know what ya mean, my parents kept moving us around until..." He slowed down his swinging. "Well until my mum died, after that we decided to just stay here."
"I'm sorry," He said, looking up at the other boy. "That's really sad. I dunno what I'd do if I lost someone in my family."
"You're gonna think I'm odd but sometimes." He jumped off the swing once it wasn't going too high. "But sometimes it's like she isn't even gone." Alissa left him a lot when she left, magical and non magical items. "I guess you could say I believe strongly in an afterlife."
Jesse chuckled softly, "Yeah? Well, you could say I do, too." If only this guy knew... More like....unlife, I guess, but whatever. Similar concepts, right? He thought to himself. "So, I hear hear there's some pretty creepy things that happen around here. Ever seen any of it yourself?"
Rei almost laughed "Creepy no... odd yes." Hell what you think is odd could be happening at my house at any moment. "Ipswich seems to be a magnet for the unusual." He smiled "You moved in to a witchy little town there buddy."
"Yeah? Sounds like I'll fit in perfectly." He grinned. "I like that sorta thing. It's wicked."
"Then you'll fit in perfectly." He shook his head "And already getting used to those annoying Bostonian sayings." He gave a small nod sitting down on the grass. "So you gonna be going to Spenser's?" He could really pin point how old Jesse was exactly so he took a guess he was around his age.
"Yeah," He nodded, "I take night classes, though, with my sister. Well, not with my sister, she's older than me, but...yeah." He nodded a little, grinning.
"Wow never knew they were offering night classes." Rei laughed a bit "What grade are you in?"
"I'm a junior." He nodded a little. "What about you? You go to the school, right?"
"Same 'ere and yeah. I've been going to Spencer's since 8th grade." He gave a small shrug. "I'm guessing your sister would be a senior right?"
"Yup," He nodded, "Kylie. Oh, and I'm Jesse. I don't think I mentioned that before..." He said, frowning slightly.
Rei extended his hand out towards Jesse. "Nice to meet ya." He smiled "The names Rei."
"Hi," He grinned, shaking his hand, nodding. "So, anything interesting to do around this place at night?"
He thought about that question for a few seconds. "Truth be told... there's nothing here to do during the day never mind the night. Other then Nicky's but even then that place isn't the greatest thing created." Really he hated going there. "Only good places are in Boston or Salem. Pretty good clubs there."
"Boston or Salem, huh? Takes awhile to get there, though...." He looked thoughtful for a moment. "Well, maybe we can make our own interesting," He winked.
Rei cocked an eyebrow at him "Our own interesting huh?" He wasn't sure if he was talking about what he thought he was talking about, so he was slightly confused but he went along with it.
"Yeah," He nodded a little, "We could do...pretty much anything. Drink, gamble, whatever," He grinned again.
"Too bed I've never done either." He scratched the back of his neck feeling his cheeks turn a bit red. Saying he was sheltered to the big bad world would be a major understatement.
"Really?" He grinned, "Man, I'd like to see you with some liquor in your system." He chuckled softly, shaking his head, "Nah, we don't have to do that if you don't want. We can do...anything. I'm pretty easy to please." He grinned.
"Maybe sometime you can." Rei gave a small laugh. "I don't think drinking would ever be out of the question." He stretched his legs out in front of him reaching forwards towards his toes. "Wait you take night classes right? Shouldn't you have class?"
"Should I? Yeah. Am I gonna go? No," He chuckled softly, grinning.
"Why am I not surprised?" He shook his head "No offence or anything. You just don't seem like the type to fallow the whole rule thing."
"I don't take offece very often." He grinned, "Don't worry about it. You're a good judge of character. I'm not a very follow-the-rules guy."
